This designer is often described as “Alexander Wang”. Well, I have to say that this association was made for a reason. His latest collection presented at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia was gloomy and dark and featured clothing pieces with original geometrical cuts that are still quite wearable. It is probably the only designer who demonstrated the fashion-forward conceptual clothing and perfect craftsmanship.

Usually patchwork in clothing looks too loud, however, the Poustovit collection presented as part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia brought a contemporary twist to patchwork and made it a chic element of clothing. Another element that made this collection work was the soft lace layered over dresses, which added a feminine and delicate touch to them.

Finding inspiration in a city traffic and metropolitan sites is not a new thing among contemporary designers, however, it is rarely performed well. Nevertheless, Dasha Gauser managed to create bold and quite versatile collection of garments distinguished by graphic elements and stripes. From collection to collection Dasha keeps accentuating one of her favorite themes – utterly elegant dresses that exude femininity, designed based on contrasting simple and complicated shapes.

Sheer fabrics, maxi lengths and soft textures make this collection an embodiment of femininity and simplicity. In this collection Tsokalenko made an accent on lightweight wools, delicate chiffons and velvets, which added a hint of Russian traditionalism to the outfits. Despite the lack of accessories, decorating elements and frills, each outfit is chic and beautiful due to efficient combination of different textures in one garment.
